WHY I STOPPED TALKING ABOUT POLITICS AND NEWS

Someone sent me an e-mail asking why I wasn't posting anything about politics. Andy Cline of Rhetorica once said I wrote some of the best satire of anyone. He was one of the few who liked it.
Not only were there many people in the Ozarks who didn't like it. I received many death threats, mainly from an idiot at Mansfield, Mo. The main problem was some people in the local media, including co-workers, who didn't like it. They felt I made fun of the wrong people or things. I've been told I've been blacklisted by at least one of the radio clusters here in Springfield (Clear Channel). The co-workers who didn't like my opinions went to management and tried to get me fired.
I should note that I'm not angry about the state of the country like I was when I first started the old blog, however, I am not happy with the state of the Ozarks. I may never be. I've hated the Ozarks since I was in elementary school.
I have figured out that nothing makes Ozarkers more upset than someone having fun, being entertained and not griping about politics. So that is what I am doing with my current blog. I'm entertaining people.  I'm much happier and I'm having fun. The response is much slower but has always been very positive. That is what I like.

A MESSAGE FROM PRESIDENT OBAMA

I think that since he got rid of Osama bin-Ladden and is the first African-American President of the United States, the 2012 Presidential election should be canceled and we should just give him a second term.

Of course, opinions, like this, is why I'm considered the Super Villain of the Ozarks!!! Mwu-HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

IMPRESSIONIST DAVID FRYE DIES AT 77

One of my favorite comedy LPs of all time is I AM THE PRESIDENT by David Frye. One of the tracks features President-elect Richard Nixon taking a tour of the White House at 2 a.m. from lame duck President Lyndon Johnson. My favorite line is President Johnson yelling to his wife, "Company is coming up, Lady Bird! Beautify yer self!"

In a skit on the Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour entitled "A Fairy Tale for Our Times," Frye played Presidents Johnson and Nixon, as well as Sen. Hubert Humphrey and Gov. George Wallace.

A MEDICAL QUESTION

2010 has been a bad year for me. I tore a tendon in my leg during a fall on the ice in January. This went undetected thanks to my former doctor, who said the pain in my ankle was caused by "my excessive weight." (Notice I said he was my former doctor) I've also had bronchitis, kidney stones, a spider bite and was diagnosed as being a type 2 diabetic.

I have a question for doctors and patients alike. It is allegorical to the current state of radio industry and American politics. I thought of this while read several disheartening news stories on All Access today. This also has local ramifications.

If you were in charge of a hospital, who would you hire to take care of patients and perform surgery? Would you hire experienced specialist and surgeons? Would you hire young specialist and surgeons just out of medical school? Or would you place your patients in the care of people who are not educated in medicine, but other fields? These people would be plumbers, stock brokers, mortgage lenders, bankers, real estate agents and auctioneers. They would pay you to allow them to operate on patients (It would be an ego thing).

Would you also support one of these stock brokers, mortgage lenders, bankers, real estate agents or auctioneers if they want to be president of the American Medical Association, even though they don't know anything about medical science? They would be "outsiders" from the medical profession, but they are "business men."

After all, a plumber, stock broker, mortgage lender, banker, real estate agent or auctioneer may not have went to medical school, but they are "business men." They could probably do just as good operating on your prostrate or your brain tumor as someone who went to some big medical school in a big city somewhere. We all know that "business men" are so much smarter than teachers, firemen, policemen, judges, psychiatrist, social workers and media people, so they probably know more than some person who spent about ten years in college studying to be a doctor. Are you going to let them operate on you?

They'll probably cut your throat and let you bleed to death. That is what most "business men" do to us and our country anyway.

An opinion, like this one, is why I'm the Super-Villain of the Ozarks!!! Mwu-HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

WHY DON'T YOU SAY THAT IN YOUR COMMERCIALS?

I've been planing to sound off on what I thought of the Republican candidates for the 7th district congressional seat. I've heard what they have had to say, on the Turner Report, the KY3 Political blog and those stupid commercials, and I question most of these individuals sanity. I especially don't like this sovereignty kick they are on. I know what Missouri would be like if the Supreme Court or White House couldn't overthrow the dumb ideas created by some of the people we sent to Jeff City.

With that said, I was in an awkward position today. One of the candidates was in my place of work (NO, not my secret underground laboratory beneath the Springfield's Park Central Square). He was appearing on one of the radio stations in the cluster and he needed some production work done. I was asked to help before he went on the air. As usual, I had to be on-air in a few moments and record two segments that were to run immediately.

This guy wasn't like most of the Republicans I've dealt with in my career or my life. He was incredibly polite and patient. He understood why I wasn't giving him immediate attention. I called on of my supervisor, who said he would be back to the radio station in a few moments. He said he could help this person. I should note this production involved a political ad and LOTS OF MONEY. I was not wanting to be responsible if I messed it up. Since neither I or the candidate had the time for the production, I told him that my supervisor would be back and could help him after his interview. He said that was fine with him.

I made the joke, "You might not want to work with me. I side with the opposing party." He just laughed and said, "Nothing wrong with that. There are some good and honest people who are Democrats. We just don't agree on issues."

THEN SAY IN YOUR COMMERCIALS THAT THERE ARE SOME GOOD AND HONEST DEMOCRATS! DON'T DEMONIZE US AS DESTROYING THE COUNTRY LIKE THE OTHER REPUBLICAN CANDIDATES!

If I see an commercial from this guy saying this, I'll have more respect for him than the other 7th District Congressional candidates. I still won't vote for the guy, but I'll have more respect for him.

Of course, an opinion, like the one above, is why I'm considered the Super-Villain of the Ozarks!!! Mwu-HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

NO MORE FRAIZER GLENN MILLER RADIO ADS

The Missouri Broadcasters Association issued a statement this evening on the on-going battle with hate-monger and supposed "write-in" U.S. Senate candidate Fraizer Glenn Miller. Miller was buying radio ads on Missouri radio stations. He was claiming that since he was a U.S. Senate candidate that the radio stations had to sell him ad time.

MBA and Missouri Attorney General Chris Koster filed a request for a declaratory ruling from the FCC on the matter.

"On Friday, June 18, 2010, the Missouri Broadcasters Association was advised by telephone that the FCC’s response to its petition would be in the form of informal, oral advice. The advice was received from the Media Bureau’s Policy Division staff. The advice was that, on the facts and pleading submitted by all parties, including Mr. Miller, it would not be unreasonable for Missouri broadcasting stations to determine that Miller is not a bona fide write-in candidate and therefore, Missouri broadcasters may deny him access to broadcast their stations.

This advice is an affirmation of the position taken by the MBA, Attorney General Koster and Zimmer Broadcasting and the FCC, prior to the filing of our petition. It confirms that a broadcaster who decides that Miller has not established himself to be a bona fide write-in candidate would not be acting unreasonably. Therefore, in our view, a Missouri broadcaster would not be held liable for having denied access retroactively.

The MBA continues to believe that Mr. Miller’s demands for mandatory access were an abuse of the privilege contained in the Communications Act for bona fide candidates. The Communications Act creates a special mandatory-access rule only for federal candidates, carefully limited to party nominees and those who are “bona fide,” or active and credible in the circumstances of the particular race. This result validates the MBA’s position in its petition and reply comments that Miller has not established himself to be a bona fide candidate. Miller is merely attempting to use broadcasters as a megaphone for his message, and broadcasters are not required to allow themselves to be used as a purveyor of personal views merely upon the claim of candidacy for federal office."

CAN I GET AN AMEN AND A HALLELUJAH, BROTHERS AND SISTER!!!

I REMEMBER YOU FROM SCHOOL - YOU WERE A PAIN THEN TOO

This is a response to a post on a weenie blog a few weeks ago. It was a slam to people of my political persuasion. This person tried to explain that her political ideology was better than mine. The more I read the more I realized not only why I’m proud to be a liberal, but who most of the conservative people my age are. I have also noticed this by the people who have friended me on Facebook from high school.

Conservatives are those people we didn’t like in junior high and high school. You know the ones I’m talking about. They were not necessarily the popular kids. They were the ones who wanted to be more popular than the popular kids.

Granted, I wanted to be the most popular kid in school but on my own merits such as my hip and cool taste in music, movies, humor and looks (Okay the last one was a stretch). These people were obsessed with grades and achieving notoriety.

There is nothing wrong with excelling, but these people rubbed it in your face that they had better grades than you, that they were the president of a club or on a sports team. However, if someone achieved more than these people, they had their parents go to the teacher, then to principal, then to school board and get some changes made. Usually, a good teacher or coach lost their job, because they did some good like give everyone an “A” or allow a lowly student like myself to be in the spotlight rather than the ‘over-achiever’ or allowed wimpy me play on their team in P.E.

Also these people were the ones who made fun of you to your face. However, if you have a good come back for them, it became “major incident.” Daddy & Mommy would go to the Principal and we would be forced to apologize along with spending time in detention (Speaking of which, if you still can't grasp the kind of people I'm talking about, think of the characters played by Molly Rigwald and Emilio Estivez in The Breakfast Club).

These people usually quit college and said it was because “The professors were liberal.” Actually it was a combination of daddy & mommy weren’t around to fight their battles and partying. See, in junior high/high school these people were always president of S.A.D.D or Teen Action or some other self-righteous, preachy group. They lectured me on how my love of heavy metal, punk and 60s psychedelic music would lead me to drug abuse. Then it turns out these people drank themselves out of SMSU or Mizzou or Drury Or Evangel.

These days those people tell you how much they make, how much their house is worth, how many well-disciplined kids they have and how many vehicles they have. THEY DON’T REALIZE WE STILL DON’T CARE! I have over 3000 CDs and about 200 DVDs. I would like a wife and kids, but the hours I work I wouldn’t have time to spend with her.

I also get paid very little, have lousy health insurance and the industry I work in has been taken over by large money-grubbing corporations that are only interested in making stars out of right-wing scumbags.

Yes, I believe in equality, but you people never did. You are still only interested in one thing...yourself. That is why I never liked you people in school. That is why I was and still am considered the Super Villain of the Ozarks!!! Mwu-HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

BTW, if the former governor of Alaska wants to complain about me using her photo in this post on her Facebook page...I’ll sue her butt off!

NEWS LEADER CARTOON FROM 1960

I found this editorial cartoon in a July 26, 1960 edition of the Springfield News Leader and Press. According to the caption, it was drawn by Lucy Van Pelt of Peanuts. It is unknown if this is in fact the work of Charles Schulz or News Leader's Bob Palmer. It is better than the cartoons the News Leader currently runs (especially those from the guy from Branson).
Of course, opinions like this are why I'm considered the Super-Villain of the Ozarks!!! Mwu-HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

I WANT TO BE IN CHARGE OF THE DEATH PANEL

I have heard talk from the talk radio scum and weenie-bloggers that the President's health care plan includes something called a "DEATH PANEL." I like this concept and would like to volunteer my services to be DEATH MASTER GENERAL (Kind of like Post Master General).

I already have been thinking of some people that I would do-away with first in an effort to bring down the cost of health care and make the United States a much more livable place.

  • People who refer to the President's health care plan as Obama-care.
  • The host of most Fox News shows (I think Bill O'Rielly, Sean Hannity and Glen Beck could be used for strange medical experiments).
  • People who think that the parking lot of Chilli's and Entertain Mart in Springfield is a street.
  • Women who play the "Chicken Fried" by Zac Brown Band on the juke box at Buffalo Wild Wings.
  • All right-wing talk radio show host, Tea-Baggers and Birthers.
  • High paid CEO's (especially in the radio industry)
  • Guys who call Jock 98.7 to complain about the Illusion's Gentleman's Club commercials with Chuck Booms.
  • Anyone who uses the word "socialist" or "socialism" as an insult.
  • People who use Bluetooth.
  • People on Facebook who want you to sign a petition against a national holiday for Michael Jackson.
  • Guys who like Sarah Palin more than Paris Hilton.

Don't worry, I'll think of more. I think that a Death Panel could be a good idea, but of course, opinions like these are what make me the SUPER-VILLAIN OF THE OZARKS!!! Mwu-HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

LET'S MAKE WEENIE-BLOGGERS CRY!

In honor of that Great American David Letterman, I've come up with a Top 10 of things to say to Weenie-Bloggers to make them cry.

  • 10. I saw the photos of your kids on your blog. Good God, they're ugly!
  • 9. How much do you pay the Kansas City Star to link to your blog?
  • 8. Did you hear that KSGF is changing its format to "chick flick music?"
  • 7. I think the News Leader should have covered Pride Fest more than those dumb tea-parties your friends have.
  • 6. I wondered why you think Sarah Palin is better than Paris Hilton until I saw your wife. Yyyeeeccchhhh! You have NO TASTE IN WOMEN!
  • 5. Anybody tell you how much you look like Jeff Dunham's Walter dummy?
  • 4. I'm glad your name is on your blog. It will be easier to turn you over to the Highway Patrol Fusion Center.
  • 3. I got my first "Thank You Blogger" check from the President. Oh yeah, you don't get one because you supported the old white guy.
  • 2. Did you know John Wayne and Ronald Reagan were gay lovers?
  • 1. I'm positive - David Catanese could kick you butt.

DOES FACEBOOK ONLY WANT RIGHT-WINGERS?

I finally decided to get a Facebook account even though I'm still not crazy about it. I believe some of my fears about it may be right - it is a nest of conservatives and people who didn't like me in high school. I ought to report these people to MIAC.

People are always wanting you to join some conservative cause which, of course, I'm not interested in. Plus there are these personality quizzes, which are usually harmless stuff like "Which Brady Bunch Character Are You" (I hope I'm Vincent Price living in a cave in Hawaii or the Guy Who Took Marcia's Virginity).

One of the quizzes is called The Political Meter. The questions are poorly written with bad multiple choice answers that seems to be slanted against anyone to the left of Rush Limbaugh. They are actually sound like some bad stereotype of a progressive thinker perpetuated on local radio but Chucky Booms or Vincent David Jericho.

I took this quiz and this was what it said: "Your trendy bleeding heart beliefs may need some work. Try watching the O'Reilly factor and listening to right wing programs to balance your bombardment of liberal media. You may learn something about the country and yourself. "

Excuse the living Hell out me! I WILL NOT CHANGE MY BELIEFS SO I CAN FIT IN WITH A BUNCH OF BORING PEOPLE ON FACEBOOK! I'LL GO BACK TO MYSPACE WHERE THE COOL PEOPLE ARE!

I think Facebook needs to stop some of this right-wing recruitment garbage and be more like MySpace, with loud music players on every page and photos of drunk girls. Opinions like these make me the SUPER VILLAIN OF THE OZARKS!!! Mwu-HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Bob Palmer News Leader Cartoon 1959 - City Council Meeting

My roommate (who is also my twin brother - I'm the evil twin you always hear about) found this Bob Palmer cartoon in a 1959 News Leader. I think the idea of a speaker at city council exaggerating things is funny, but then I realize the character maybe trying to get improvements on the drainage system which as you know is one of my pet peeves.
Either way it shows somethings never change, except Jason isn't there to tell us which councilman has the best tie. The way Palmer drew the city council it looks like they didn't have any necks.

STOP POSTING SPAM ON MY BLOG (or why I haven't been allowing comments)

Some of the other local bloggers e-mailed me and asked why I haven't been allowing comments on my blog since early in the summer months. One word: SPAM! I've had spam about cut rate drugs from Canada, cheap jewelry from China, stocks and bonds and even a few strange candidates for office.

However the worst has been a person who has started a political action committee in California. This person has been trying to post a link to this groups website. They usually add a remark like "You are fool not to join us in our fight for real justice" or "Only a stupid person would not want to support our cause."

I sorry, I will NOT give free publicity to a political movement I don't agree with. I also won't give free publicity to a group that sells t-shirts and books. I especially find the t-shirt for children in poor taste. "My Mama's for Obama" was on kids this fall was cute but "I Was Molested By a Bad Judge" for sale on your site is creepy.

I understand that there are times when things aren't fair, but demonizing everyone in a certain profession and trying to ruin the careers of innocent people who do their job right is sadistic.

Today, this person showed themselves for what they are: a selfish bully.

  1. This person tried to post this tirade under the Forrest J. Ackerman story. It has nothing to do with Forry or Famous Monsters (although this person is a creep).
  2. "I always thought people in the Ozarks were stupid. You are proof." That's funny people in the Ozarks always say people in California are obnoxious and you are proof.
  3. "From what I read on this blog you are not only against person liberty and justice, but anti-family." Obviously he doesn't understand my humor, but then again so do some here in the Ozarks.
  4. This person wrote his little sob story which didn't win me over. Apparently this guy claims he didn't get custody of his son because "The judge had the hots for my blond actress ex-slut who stupidly votes for the Dumbo-crats." Yeah, this guy knows how to make you feel sorry for him. This was followed several references to being a "I'm a high paid bank executive." He also believes in "firm discipline" unlike his "ex-slut" (this phrase must have been his creation). Then he mentioned that she put their child in "faggy music lessons" where as he felt the boy should participate in "Little League, Pop Warner Football or a cage fighting group one of my frat brother's son is involved with." So tell me again why you didn't get custody of the boy?
  5. "You are violating my free speech. I could sue you." You will have to find out who I AM first. Granted someone tried to out me earlier this year. Of course, I would get involved with him because his brother was mentioned in the story that hacked you off. He probably would't help you. Besides we would have to go to court and the judge might rule in my favor because he ( in the case of my post) or she have the "hots for me."
  6. "You are uninformed on this situation. I first heard of trouble like this when I would watch Wally George's show in junior high. Bill O'Reilly talks about bad judges all the time." You watched Wally George in junior high? Shouldn't they lock people like you up? How did a guy like you get married in the first place.

I deleted this from the Forrest Ackerman post and there will be no comments on this one. Tell the talk radio boys how I was mean to you, they might be interested. Also tell your "ex-slut" I'm available. She might be my type.

Andy of Mayberry Fans Need to Get a Life

Remember twenty years ago, when William Shatner hosted Saturday Night Live and was in a sketch where he told a group of Trekkies at a convention to "Get a Life?" I feel it is time for Andy Griffith to tell some of the fans of his show the same thing. Especially the ones here in the Ozarks.

They have conniptions every when KYTV moves the reruns from noon. Also, I'm tired of hearing people say "I wish Springfield was more like Mayberry" or "How can we make Springfield more like Mayberry?" or "Springfield is a small town just like Mayberry." Let me explain something to you folks: MAYBERRY IS NOT A REAL TOWN AND SPRINGFIELD IS FAR FROM EVER BEING LIKE IT!

I find it interesting that many of these same people look down their noses at fans of Star Trek, Doctor Who or Dark Shadows, but are obsessive about returning to Mayberry for a visit with Andy, Barney and Aunt Bee. The sad part is these people want to change things so the world is more like Mayberry. They want to do away with cell phones, home computers, rap music and anything that wasn't mentioned or seen on the Andy Griffith Show or Mayberry R.F.D.

Now, before you start forming the wrong idea about me, let me say this, I like the Andy Griffith Show. I feel it is one of the best written sitcoms of all time. I have the utmost respect for Andy Griffith, Ron Howard, Don Knotts and the others because they were truly talented actors. Which brings me to my other gripe about these Andy of Mayberry fans: THEY HAVE NO TASTE IN WHICH EPISODES ARE THEIR FAVORITE! THEY ALWAYS PICK THE ONES THAT SUCK (IMHOP)! My favorite episode is entitled the "Loaded Goat," a goat eats a highway crews dynamite and scares everyone except Otis. I also like any episode involving the Darlings and Ernest T. Bass. Those make me laugh, just like Family Guy and the Simpsons.

However, these obsessive fans here in the Ozarks always say they like the episode where Andy takes the spoiled kid's bicycle away. It seems they always pick episodes where Oppie gets punished. When these Andy fans tell me this, I tell them that I like the "It's a Good Life" episode of the Twilight Zone. It tell them that is the way my childhood SHOULD have been. I could have banished half of Lebanon, MO, to the cornfield and turned the other half into jack-in-the-boxes.

I guess that is why I don't understand the bizarre obsession with the Andy Griffith Show and Mayberry. As a song that was popular when I was in country radio (against my will) said "I grew up in a Mayberry kind of town." Actually, I felt like more like Oliver Douglas on Green Acres, I was the only sane, intelligent person in Lebanon, but that is just me. To me Star Trek, Doctor Who and Dark Shadows are a fun escape (although, like DS, I have some monsters and bloodsuckers in my family). I don't see them as a pattern for my life. Some of this Andy of Mayberry worship stuff has come from the mega-churches. They watch the reruns together and discuss the message. Strange, where I go to church we use the New Testament.

I was really hoping this video Ron Howard made a few months ago would help break these people of their obsession. I guess Andy is going to have to give these folks a Shatner speech. He can use Barney's favorite phrase, "NIP IT IN THE BUD!"

News Leader - Don't Increase The Price, Charge LTTE Writers

Ron Davis over at Chatter announced this earlier this week. The Springfield News Leader is raising it's price. My suggestion, if they need to make more money, is charge the letter to the editor writers. I feel that students who write for a class project and liberals SHOULD NOT be charged. Conservatives should be charged by their topic.
  • Anti-abortion letters - $75
  • Anti-gay letters $75
  • Too much sex/violence/foul language in entertainment $100
  • Media is bias against conservatives $500
  • Anti-cruising $ 30
  • Young people are evil $50
  • Anti-MSU $50
  • Anti-Obama $100
  • Anti-Clinton $100
I feel that with in a year, Gannett will not have to make budget cuts and we will get the paper for free.

Smothers Brothers DVD Not Perfect But Well Worth the Money

I had mentioned in June that I was looking forward to the upcoming release of the Smothers Brother Comedy Hour on DVD. I purchased it last week and have enjoyed watching these shows from the final season.
The show was pulled from CBS because of the political nature of the show. If you compare these shows to the Laugh-In shows on DVD, you'll wonder if CBS didn't have it in for Tom and Dick or NBC's censors were as dumb as a box of rocks. Also when you find out what was censored you'll shake your head in disbelief. On the other hand, some of the stuff that got by is great. My favorite is a skit invoving the first interacial wedding in the South. After the "I do's," minister ask for "the rope" instead of the ring.
My only problem is this is not the complete third season. Several episodes are missing including two shows featuring the Beatles. Also, one episode had some dialogue in a skit removed by the censors, however it has not replaced. I realize that might be because this was recorded live on video tape.

The forth disk does make up for this stuff with a TV special/mockumentary called "Pat Paulsen For President" narrated by Henry Fonda. For those too young to remember, Pat Paulsen was a comedian on the show who delivered very deadpan "editorials" and later political speeches. The gag was that he was running for president in 1968. He also ran in the years after the show up until his death in 1997. The extras include a performance from the early 1990's at a comedy club in Alaska and extra footage from the TV special featuring Sen. Robert Kennedy and Woody Allen.
Hopefully, the next DVD set will contain some of the missing episodes. However, the DVD set is well worth it. Check it out. It is fun and better for you than watching Faux News.

But Virginia Is For Lovers & We Are The QUEEN CITY

MSNBC has a story about how the governor of South Carolina and others are upset about these ads which appeared around the time of the Gay Pride festivities in the U.K. and elsewhere. A state tourism employee resigned over this. I doubt any gay people wanted to visit Civil War battlefields in South Carolina. There is also the language barrier because this turned off many junior high kids who read "South Carolina Is So Gay" and thought "South Carolina is boring stuff my parents would like."

Personally, I think Amro Worldwide should partner with Springfield Convention and Visitors Bureau. The posters can read "THEY DON'T CALL US THE QUEEN CITY FOR NOTHING!"

Crazy Jane and her Toothless Anti-Bullying Law

We have mentioned State Rep. Jane Cunningham in the past and her lip service to anti-bullying legislation. Recently, Rep. Cunningham received an endorsement from former Governor/Attorney General John Ashcroft. Monday she was on the KSGF morning show bragging about her so-called anti-bullying legislation. Vincent David John Jacob Jingle Himerschmit Rufus Xavier Sarsaparilla (who found a kangaroo) Shimmy Shimmy Ko-ko Bop Ramma Lama Ding Dong Do Wah Diddy Diddy Da Do Ron Ron Ron Da Do Ron Ron Gidyup Ooomp Pompa Oooomp Pompa Mow Mow Hiyo Silver Away Banana Fanna Fo Fanna De Doo Doo Doo De Da Da Da (That's all I want to say to you) Gabba Gabba Hey Gabba Hey (Now you're one of us) two all-beef patties special sauce lettuce cheese pickles onion on a sesame seed bun, Itsy Bittsy Tiny Weeny Yellow Polka Dot Joiner-Kersee Sammy Davis Junior Jericho kissed every inch of her butt while trashing local State Rep. Sara Lampe’s work on the bill.
Cunningham basically that she doesn’t want sexual orientation on the bullying legislation because it would give special treatment to "certain groups." She claimed that Rep. Lampe’s version of the bill would "punish" a person for telling another student (her words) "I don’t like your lifestyle." CUNNINGHAM WANTS TO PROTECT THE BULLIES FROM PUNISHMENT.
Cunningham was probably never bullied in school like I was, so she probably doesn’t know what goes on. I will allow her that. Bullies will use any excuse to get out of trouble. The favorite lie a bully tells is "I was only joking" or "We are just having fun." I’m sure some bully will probably use "I criticizing their lifestyle." I’m not gay and I wasn’t gay in school, however, I was bullied over my clothes, my choice of music and my choice of girls to be interested in (Rod Hance proved, my choice of women STILL upsets some people in Lebanon).
Cunningham is trying to make this a toothless, ineffective law where nobody would be punished. The way Cunningham wants it, the bully can turn tables on the victim. It will be the same thing that we have seen from the right-wing talk show host for the past few year, "You can’t condemn me for hating (insert a minority group here), because you hate me because I’m conservative." The argument about who is bullying who will go back and forth and the school won’t know who to punish. Cunningham’s anti-bullying law will allow the bullies to get off scot-free and be back in class causing trouble.
The basic point made over and over in the interview was "sexual orientation" should not be in mentioned in the anti-bullying law. I SAY IT SHOULD FOR THIS REASON: ALL BULLYING IN JUNIOR HIGH AND HIGH SCHOOL IS BASED ON DISCRIMINATION AGAINST GAYS EVEN IF THE VICTIM IS HETEROSEXUAL. Junior high and high school bullies get a kick out of calling their victims names like "fag," "queer," or "homo." If sexual orientation is mentioned, then these bullies can be punished. Cunningham would allow them to explain their actions as "a religious intervention."
Here is something that I feel both Lampe and Cunningham should put into an anti-bulling law: if a student has more than three bullying complaints against them, the parents have to be punished too. I’ve learned that bullies learn there hatred for others at home. Any bullying law needs to punish the parents as well as the kid.
From the tone of her discussion on KSGF, Cunningham is not sincere about stopping bullying. Usually it is old white guys who cloud the issue on bullying because, they were bullies themselves in their school days. My theory is Rep. Cunningham was the girl who was sweet on the bully boys.
